As 2018 comes to a close, Stranger Things fans continue to wait (somewhat) patiently for season three. Netflix has a bunch of new hints about next season's adventures with a new teaser trailer that dropped Sunday and includes episode titles for the forthcoming season:

  • Suzie, Do You Copy?
  • The Mall Rats
  • The Case of the Missing Lifeguard
  • The Sauna Test
  • The Source
  • The Birthday
  • The Bite
  • The Battle of Starcourt

The episode titles play over the show's recognizable intro sequence, featuring that foreboding, electronic theme song that many have come to associate with the antics of Mike, Eleven, Steve, Nancy, and the rest of the gang in Hawkins, Indiana.

The final lines of the teaser tell us that "the adventure continues" in the summer of 1985, the time period in which most of the third season will likely take place. The teaser also confirms what has been rumored for some time: the third season will debut sometime in 2019.

While less humorous, this teaser provides about as much detail as the first trailer for Stranger Things 3 did. Released back in July, the teaser shows all the wonderful things to come to Hawkins in the new Starcourt Mall, including shops, eateries, and a new movie theater. It appears the third season will ratchet up the 80s nostalgia with the introduction of this mega-mall hangout, and it will likely become another location in which the show's characters face off against demogorgons and other evil spawn of the Upside Down.

Fans also got another, tiny glimpse into season three last week when show creators Matt and Ross Duffer debuted a trailer for the new Stranger Things 3 game, which will be available on all platforms next year. The 16-bit game follows the events of season three, but the trailer didn't give away too much about those events. Still, fans will be excited to have a game with new supernatural challenges waiting for them once they finally get to binge all of season three's episodes.

While we don't expect Stranger Things 3 to come out before the summer of 2019, Ars will follow along the new season when it debuts so check back for the latest news, reviews, and more.
