Cardi B appeared in court, without her wedding ring or an apparent care in the world.
Leaving formalities at home, the rapper struck her signature look as she stuck out her tongue at her hearing.
The mother-of-one managed to avoid an arrest warrant as she was released without bail on Friday morning in New York.
We are quite accustomed to the musicians tongue – thanks to social media, stage performances and music videos – but nobody could have predicted that this member of her body would have made an appearance in court.
The 26-year-old arrived for court in Queens, New York City wearing a black fur coat and an extravagant rainbow wig, however, she was without her wedding ring.
After the hearing, the judge released the mother-of-one without bail, although the prosecutors were reported to want the bail set at $2,500 (£1,962).
TMZ reports that the judge gave Cardi a stern warning to have no contact with Baddie Gi and Jade – the women she is accused of assaulting.
The judge is said to have told Cardi no contact includes making threats or comments on social media about the bartenders.
She is scheduled to be back in court next month.
Her appearance – which was met by a swarm of photographers – comes after she was issued a warning by a judge on Monday for failing to turn up to court.
The rapper was due to appear in New York City criminal court facing charges of assault and reckless endangerment in connection with a fight at a strip club.
However, the artist – real name Belcalis Almanzar – failed to show up on 3 December and has been issued a warning by a judge, according to TMZ.
The publication reports that Cardis legal team was in court on Monday without the rapper, for a hearing about the August incident.
The prosecutors reportedly expressed their frustration that the Money rapper did not make an appearance after the case was given a six-week extension on the case. The team are said to have asked the judge to issue a bench warrant.
The judge denied the immediate request but did issue a serious warning stating that Cardi must appear in court on Friday morning – which she has now done.
TMZ reported that Cardis defence team had been struggling to get a hold of her directly and had been communicating via her management team, only discovering on Thursday that the former Love and Hip-Hop star had a prior commitment that prevented her from attending Mondays hearing.
On Monday, Cardi was pictured shooting thousands of miles away on a beach in Miami, where she writhed around in tiger body paint to capture some wet and wild scenes for new single, Twerk.
She posted a short video explaining that they simply grew out of love.
On Wednesday an Instagram model named Summer Bunni tearfully declared her involvement in breaking up their marriage, claiming that she was one of the women contacted by Offset.
The Migos rapper is accused of trying to privately organise a three-way, while wife Cardi B was pregnant with her first child Kulture.
Since apologising via a TMZ interview, Summer has taken to her Instagram page to declare her hopes of maturing after not realising how serious the couples marriage was. She also grovelled to Cardi B in her online statements.
Interestingly enough, Summer appeared in a Tekashi69 video with Cardis arch-nemesis Nicki Minaj.
Back in July, Summer posted a video of a clip from Nicki and Tekashi69s music video for Fefe to promote its release. The scene, in particular, shows a woman, who bears a striking resemblance to Summer, spraying whipped cream in her mouth while wearing a pink bikini.

Summer captioned the video: FEFE out now! This shoot was so cute.
Cardis appearance in court comes at the same time it was announced she received five Grammy nominations this year, including album of the year for her debut record Invasion of Privacy, record of the year for I Like It, best pop duo/group performance for Girls Like You with Maroon 5, best rap performance for Be Careful and best rap album.
