Tekashi69s fellow inmates are reportedly annoyed with him receiving special treatment in the new prison facility where hes being held.
While it was previously reported that he wasnt getting any special treatment in prison, being placed in general population, it seems everythings changed.
The rapper – real name Daniel Hernandez – was arrested on six counts: conspiracy with others to commit racketeering, discharging a firearm while committing a crime, committing a crime of violence in aid of racketeering, assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a firearm, and committing a crime in aid of racketeering.
A source told TMZ that Hernandez was placed in the dorm with 11 other inmates who were described as “docile.”
Apparently that treatment is reserved for high-profile inmates, as well as inmates who may be targets, such as corrupt police and child predators.
However, Hernandezs lawyer Lance Lazzaro disputed the claims, telling TMZ that he doubts his client is receiving any special treatment.
It comes after he was transferred to a new facility which is used to house witnesses who co-operate with police.
TMZ claims the FEFE rapper specifically asked to be in a new detention centre away from the Crips and the Bloods.
Hernandez also recently insisted that he is not a gang member but just portrays the image.
Lazzaro spoke out for him, saying: Daniel Hernandez is completely innocent of all charges being brought against him.
He continued to say that just because the 22-year-old is an entertainer who portrays a “gangster image” to promote his music [it] does not make him a member of an enterprise.
He added to The Blast: Mr. Hernandez became victim of this enterprise and later took steps by firing employees and publicly denounced this enterprise through a morning show.
