This would be great news for Brad and Anges six children, Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, who have been at the centre of a nasty dispute between the estranged married couple.
According to The Blast, Brad, 54, and Ange, 42, will aim to finish their negotiations before their upcoming private custody trial, which is scheduled to begin on 4 December.
Bizarrely enough, the private judge assigned to their custody case is reportedly the same one who officiated their wedding ceremony.
Sources close to Angelina say the pair have found common ground and realise that the custody agreement and divorce needs to be finalised so their family can move on.
It was initially planned that findings from evaluations with the six children would be used to determine a custody agreement for the divided family. However, this would no longer need to happen if the estranged couple are able to come to their own settlement.
According to the publication, finalising the child custody agreement would mean that Ange and Brad can now focus on the financial aspect of their divorce settlement. Angelina is said to have handed over her financial information to Brads legal team recently.
Brad and Ange shocked Hollywood with their split announcement in September 2016, with Angelina later filing for divorce two years after they married and 10 years of being together.
Tensions between the pair have heightened in the past year as they bumped heads over their children.
In June, a judge ordered Angelina to encourage their large brood to spend time with their father.

A source recently told Entertainment Tonight of the tense situation: Brad has been dedicated to making peace throughout the process and now it finally seems like they are at a point where they can create a calmer situation for the kids.
She started to see a change in the kids behavior because they missed their dad. The kids reaction to the divorce actually helped Angie try a different tact.
