Gregg Wallace reveals he was stressed and scared when he first learned his wife was expecting their first child together.
The 54-year-old and his wife Anne-Marie revealed earlier this year that the pair were looking at fertility treatment in order to start a family.
And now congratulations are in order as the couple have announced that they are expecting after revealing their desperation at having a baby.
Speaking to OK! the Masterchef host said: We were due to start IVF but then it happened naturally after two years of trying. The doctor told us it was a miracle Anna was pregnant.
Revealing that they would call the child Sid Massimo Wallace, the TV host admitted that he has been scared and stressed since she fell pregnant.
He added: But since we had the twelve-week scan recently it feels joyous. Seeing a scan of our baby son and the strength of his heartbeat made me cry.
Weve agreed to only have one child together – Im too old.
Anna, 33, chipped in: Ive been happy with the idea of just having one child right from the start. The fact were having one baby is a miracle – were blessed enough.
The baby is due on 9 May.
The couple started their relationship over Twitter after she reached out to him to help her prepare duck.
Responding to her privately, the pair then struck up a friendship, and as a result, bonded over their love of cooking and overcame their 21-year age gap to fall for each other.
