Forget Nicki Minaj vs Cardi B – 2018 has a new hottest feud, and its one we never expected.

Ding ding ding – get ready for Niall Horan vs Leeds United.

Yep, this year just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

The unlikely row kicked off on Twitter while Derby County played West Brom and Leeds took on Ipswich in the Championship.

Slow Hands singer Niall was tuned into the Derby match and praised the team, tweeting: Oh yeah @dcfcofficial are a dream to watch play.

Keeping the footie conversation going, Thomas Crosse, aka Crossy from Irish radio station FM104, asked: Will you send @LUFC A bit of luck.

But it seems Niall isnt a Leeds fan, with the 25-year-old firing back: No one likes Leeds.

Cue One Direction fans in Yorkshire burning their jerseys.

However, it turns out that whoever is in charge of the Leeds United Twitter account was feeling rather sassy – and also isnt a fan of This Town.

More: One Direction

Quote-tweeting Nialls burn, @LUFC wrote: No one likes your solo career #BringBack1D.

Harsh – although were never ones to argue with a One Direction reunion…

Speaking of which, we are getting a 50% reunion this week, as Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson are cuddling up on the couch for a celebrity edition of Gogglebox.

Fresh from Liam helping out his friend at X Factor judges houses, the former bandmates will be giving their commentary on the nations favourite shows in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.
