Love Islands Sam Bird has blasted ex-girlfriend Georgia Steel for accusing him of trying to sell his story regarding their break-up – he also called her out for not being loyal.
The couple, who began dating after finding love in the villa this summer, announced their break-up on Wednesday, hours after appearing together on the ITV Palooza pink carpet.
Fans quickly became sure the split had something to do with Georgias tour manager, Steven West, after the reality star revealed she had gone on a late night drive with him in the wake of the break-up.
However, on Thursday night, Sam insisted the rumours arent true – and blamed a former flame of Georgias.
The reality TV star elaborated again, on Friday night, in a post on Instagram adding that he just wants to move on from the situation.
His words come after Georgia – who was known for repeatedly claiming she was loyal while in the villa – spoke denied cheating allegations while also claiming that Sam was trying to sell his story.
Sam wrote: After reading Georgias side of the story I think its only fair I tell mine.
I never threatened to sell anything, I only want people to know the truth about what happened after seeing what she has said.
She spoke to the press before I did, its how you get your story out there.
Georgia went round her exs on more than one occasion and lied about it. One was at about 4am. [sic]
He added: She sent a selfie with her ex in bed together to her friend only 3 days ago which my friend has and Ive seen.
Sending inappropriate sext messages to your ex is not banter. Its cheating and not loyal, simple as that.
If you online the truth is out there now and I just want to move on from this situation. No one needs to give hate online, I wouldnt wish that on anyone. I just want me and Georgia to be happy now.
Georgia, 20, previously took to the photo-sharing platform to dispel the claims about her tour manager, describing the reports as laughable.
The story of myself being linked with Steven West. This is laughable, he is my tour manager who drives me to all my PAs! Nothing more, the loyal star wrote.
Sam and Georgia announced they were parting ways earlier this week in separate statements shared to their social media accounts, just three months after leaving the Love Island villa and shacking up in a luxe Essex flat.
The announcement, first reported by Sam, came as a shock to fans who only hours earlier had seen the pair looking loved up at the ITV Palooza event, where they wrapped their arms around one another, posed for photos and reportedly claimed they wished to marry.
Im devastated to announce me and Georgia have split up for reasons I cant bring myself to comment on at the moment, Sam wrote in a social media post.
As always I wish her all the best.
Hot on his heels, Georgia later released her own statement, saying: Im very sad to say me and Sam have split. I will always care about him.
However please understand this is a hard time for us both thank you.
