He denied ever putting his hands on a woman in a vicious manner in a statement released the next day.
The Oasis frontman was reportedly brought into a central London police station at the end of September where he was formally interviewed under caution.
Liam was escorted out of the Chiltern Firehouse on a night out with Debbie in August after security staff grew concerned for her welfare.
Pictures of an heated exchange between the two appeared the next morning.
According to The Sun, The Met Polices Criminal Investigation Department (CID) are now dealing with the incident.
A statement read: The footage has been assessed and enquiries will be made into the circumstances.
No specific allegations have been received at this time. There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
Investigations will continue by collecting further evidence from witness accounts of the night in question, despite Debbie insisting he never laid a hand on me.
The bouncer in charge on the night, Max Ksiazek, 29, has already publicised a statement in which he said Debbie was in tears and shaking.
He claimed he was genuinely worried about her safety when he removed Liam from the premises.
Afterwards, both Debbie and Liam called accusations that he hurt her a pack of lies.
Speaking to The Mirror, Debbie said: It feels like theyre on a witch hunt to dirty Liams name. Our relationship is stronger than ever. Liams never laid a hand on me. It is completely ridiculous.
Liam also denied the altercation on Twitter, writing: Firstly I have never put my hands on any woman in a vicious manner. Secondly, there is only 1 witch and we all know who that is.. as you were LG x.
