Strictly Come Dancing’s Janette Manrara has spoken out about her relationship with husband Aljaž Skorjanec, admitting the pair don’t believe in the show’s infamous curse.
The BBC series has come under scrutiny in recent years, as a number of famous contestants have split from their significant others after taking part in the competition – which could be down to tough rehearsal schedules and close bonds with their dance partners.
But it seems the couple, who tied the knot back in July 2017, aren’t worried about the show coming between their romance – and don’t believe the infamous curse actually exists.
Speaking to OK! Magazine about worries Aljaž would ever be unfaithful with a fellow contestant, Janette explained: ‘That’s not a thought that ever crosses my mind.
‘We talk about it but I don’t believe in the Strictly curse. It comes down to a man and woman. It’s not Strictly’s fault.’
Discussing their relationship further, she added: ‘I trust Aljaž with my whole heart. He is my best friend and I trust him completely.’
This isn’t the first time the 34 year old has given an insight into her private life with the 28 year old, as she recently hinted the pair could be set to start a family very soon.
‘The next couple of years I think we will definitely have some big baby news,’ she told the Mirror.
‘We both really want children. We’re both really broody – Aljaz and I, we just love kids.
‘He is going to be a great dad.’
Janette’s words come as fellow Strictly professional Ola Jordan revealed her own plans to start a family with husband James.
