Chris Hughes posts bizarre message wishing ex Olivia Attwood a happy Mother’s Day – over their doll Cash

Chris Hughes has wished his ex girlfriend a happy Mother’s Day for mothering their doll Cash.

In a bit of an eye-roll moment the reality star used the day generally intended to pay tribute to mums across the country to give a nod to his ex, telling her to keep fighting through the bad times.

Sharing a montage of images of her and the plastic baby, he wrote: ‘Happy Mother’s Day Olivia; keep smiling Doll, never let that tiara slip.’

Naturally, the post sent fans wild speculating that the pair’s split was indeed fake and publicity for their show – given it was a bit of a weird post- which prompted Chris to once again deny they are back on.

He replied to his fans saying: ‘Listen, we aren’t together, but I still support her like I would have before. If things change, things change. Time will tell. There’s no malice or hate, that doesn’t always have to happen when people split, you know. We had a rollercoaster ride, and she deserves recognition.’

Perhaps not on Mother’s Day, though.

And the fact the couple have been so vocal about rekindling their romance has left fans unconvinced that their breakup is genuine.

The pair have been hit by rumours that their split has all been for the cameras and a stunt to promote their show, Crackin’ On.

However, friends of the two have since claimed it is in fact real.

A source told The Sun that they remain close despite their explosive rows: ‘They really wanted to watch the first episode together as it was their show as a couple.

‘They’re still very close and although they chose not to promote the series together they have remained friends.

‘Their relationship is still over – though friends predict they will get back together at some point.’
