Love Island stars Gabby Allen and Marcel Somerville were ‘blown away’ by Jess Shears ‘marrying’ Dom Lever live on daytime TV.

Jess and Dom, who were on the same series as Gabby and Marcel last year, got hitched on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday with Jess sporting a bikini and Dom going topless.

However the wedding wasn’t legally binding as the Good Morning Britain studios aren’t actually sanctioned to be used as a licensed wedding venue.

But the stunt still stunned Marcel and Gabby, who reached the final of the show in 2017.

Gabby told Metro.co.uk at the NME Awards: ‘I was bloody blown away by it. [Jess] must have been freezing.’

She added that it has got her thinking about tying the knot, but Marcel tried to play it cool.

Gabby added: ‘I have my own ideas about my wedding.’

Marcel chipped in: ‘My mate messaged to ask if we were going to do the same.

‘It’s only been 8 months. I gotta keep her waiting to propose.’

Meanwhile Jess hit back on Twitter and people ‘getting their knickers in a twist’ over their telly wedding.

The NME Awards nominee shortlist sees two incredible female artists leading the way, with both Lorde and Charli XCX receiving four nominations each, with Lorde’s latest album Melodrama up for the big one.

Melodrama is in the best album category alongside J Hus’ debut Common Sense, Visions Of A Life by Wolf Alice, Humanz by Gorillaz, Loyle Carner with Yesterday’s Gone and Sleep Well Beast by The National.

The ladies are closely followed by Dua Lipa and St Vincent.

Glastonbury is in the running for festival of the year with Ed Sheeran, BBK and Noel Gallagher in the running for best festival headliner.

On the political side of things Theresa May is up against Donald Trump, Jeremy Hunt, Piers Morgan, Katie Hopkins and Kim-Jong Un for villain of the year.
