Billie Piper is giving fans the chance to see her smash hit play Yerma on Broadway in New York, with flights and accommodation thrown in, for just £1.

The actress scored six best actress awards for her role in the disturbing and gripping play, about a woman driven to do the unthinkable in her desperation to have a baby.

Billie’s competition is all for a good cause, as the money raised will go to her chosen charity The Primary Shakespeare Company, which aims to inspire and engage primary school children from disadvantaged backgrounds in the UK through the magic of drama.

The very lucky competition winner gets two VIP tickets to see Yerma (which is awesome btw), and hang out with Billie and the cast backstage afterwards.

Virgin Atlantic has kindly thrown in the flights, and the winner will also get accommodation and a goodie bag.

The Doctor Who star said of this amazing opportunity: ‘As a child I really struggled in school, I just wasn’t connecting with my lessons and the curriculum and I found that really frustrating. Drama changed all of that, it gave me a purpose and a passion.

‘I know there will be so many children right now feeling exactly the same way and this is why what The Primary Shakespeare Company does is so important.

‘We’re running this exciting competition to help raise the much needed funds so they can continue their invaluable work.’
