Goldie Hawn has claimed that she has stories to ‘top all of them’ when it comes to sexual harassment.

The 72-year-old actress revealed that when she was a dancer in New York City she had ‘some horrible experiences’ but that she had a ‘lot of resilience and I really knew who I was’.

‘Sexual harassment, unfortunately it’s been there forever,’ she said, ‘I had a very strong mom, a very strong dad and I had a lot of resilience and I really knew who I was. And you know the answer was always “No, I’ll never get a job like that.” A lot of girls don’t. A lot of girls don’t know what to do,’ she added.

Speaking to CNBC about the changing climate in Hollywood, the acclaimed actress admitted that she believes a lot of the ‘entitlement’ felt by certain men is to ‘do with narcissism, an ability to think that they’re invincible and they pretty much can do whatever they want to do’.

Goldie rose to fame in the late 1960s, winning an Oscar and Golden Glboe for her performance in Cactus Flower (1969). She went on to star in classics such as Overboard (1987), Death Becomes Her (1992) and The First Wives Club (1996), but in 2017 she made her big screen return after a 15-year hiatus.
