Many will know Sandra Martin from her days on Gogglebox, before she left the show in July 2017.
But now, for those in Brixton, you might recognise her as the chatty one in your local takeaway, as she reveals she’s currently on the hunt for a job.
Speaking on Loose Women, the former Gogglebox star revealed she’s signed up at the Job Centre and eager to get herself a job anywhere that’ll take her.
When Nadia Sawahla asked if she would like a ‘normal’ job, Sandra said: ‘Without a doubt… McDonalds. KFC. I don’t think the Chinese would take me…
‘I could do any job. I’m going to social tomorrow to do my job search. So I’m going to be working soon, but in a normal job. No biggie.’
But the mum-of-four wouldn’t say no to that celeb life again, either.
‘Being on [Loose Women] I hope some doors open for me,’ she said. ‘If the TV world come in and offered me something like Gogglebox…. I’m waiting for a door to open.
‘I would definitely like to go in the Big Brother house but I don’t think they’re going to want me because I talk too much. You’re supposed to keep it a secret. I cant keep secrets, I love scandal.’
Yeah, that could be a problem Sandra…
The Brixton native revealed that she is back on benefits and on the job hunt after quitting the popular show last year, admitting she squandered her money on ‘taxis, nails, hair, partying [and] takeaways,’ as well as helping out friends in her community and her children with food and bills.
Seems as though the 54-year-old has plenty of tricks up her sleeve though, as she also revealed some of the other endeavors she’d like to take on – including a book, the title of which she seemed very proud of.
‘So my new book’s going to go From Brixton To Baftas To Benefits. I’ll be alright.
‘I’ve got a few things that I would like to do. I would like to do plus sized modelling. I’m going to open up my stall. But like I said I’m on social at the moment, I’ve just got to wait.’
Loose Women continues weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1.
