Boxer Amir Khan has been accused of stepping out on his pregnant wife again, after a New York model claims he’s been bombarding her with messages.
Dasha Abdelgany, 27, alleges the sportsman has been showering her with compliments about her ‘beautiful sweet voice’ and ‘wow’ lips, even offering to fly her out ahead of one of his fights.
Speaking to the Sunday People, Dasha explained: ‘I live in New York which is a five-hour flight from San Francisco. He wanted me to fly to see him before his wife arrived.
‘He said he was there for four weeks to train for his upcoming comeback fight. But he said he was only gonna be alone for a week and I needed to get there asap.’
Dasha reportedly didn’t know of the British boxer beforehand, and first came into contact with Khan after stumbling across a festive photo of the star with his three-year-old daughter Lamaisah captioned: ‘Halal Christmas Dinner.’
As a fellow Muslim, the model decided to message the light-welterweight world champion as she disagreed with the photo, and she claims Khan responded to her message asking her about her background, location, age, and work.
After a short spat, the pair exchanged numbers, after which Dasha alleges Khan sent a barrage of flirty messages and compliments, including one message which read: ‘Those lips in ur pic. Wow.’
The sports star is said to have also phoned Dasha complimenting her on her voice before later inviting her for a week ‘alone’ in San Fransisco.
The reported message said: ‘I’m in SF… here for four weeks. But alone for a week.’ adding, ‘Will be nice to connect with U.’
Dasha claims she had previously told Khan she had a boyfriend, but that he persisted: ‘He said he was there for four weeks to train for his upcoming comeback fight. But he said he was only going to be alone for a week and I needed to get there asap.
‘That call from him got me quite upset and I ended up blocking his numbers.’
The claims follow the 31-year-old athlete’s trip to America with his pregnant wife Faryal Makhdoom on 29 January. The pair flew to different states, with Amir heating to California for a four week training course.
Khan previously spoke out about all the accusations of him cheating, claiming that fans ‘set you up and take pictures’.
Metro has reached out for comment from Amir Khan’s representatives.
